Jeanette Hammer Andersen, Professor in marine bioprospecting at UiT-The Arctic University of Norway and head of Marbio, an analytical platform for natural products at UiT. Marbio has experience in screening extract library of natural product origin, both terrestrial and marine organisms and has successfully identified several novel bioactive compounds. She is also a board member of Biotech North, which is a cluster organization which serves the biotechnology and biomarine sectors in Northern Norway.

Research interest: Marine biodiscovery, with emphasis on bioactivity screening and identification of natural products with potential for drug discovery and nutraceuticals.
